Do you think Donald Trump is ever going to be held accountable for everything he is doing even if it’s after his term is over?

Jay Dee

I read an answer to a very similar question several months ago. I seem to recall that it was posted by a trial attorney. He said, and I’m paraphrasing from recollection only.

It’s doubtful that tRump will ever serve a day in prison. During all of his previous trials, his attorneys used every delaying tactic in the books and fabricated a few new ones in the sole effort to delay until after the election and then claim Presidential immunity. After his term ends in 2029, they will employ an entirely new tactic, that being that tRump is now too old, too sickly and too far gone to be able to stand trial or be imprisoned (diminished capacity defense).

I don’t know the proper legal language for all of that, but in lay terms, that is my recollection. It seems like a very plausible scenario to me.

Chris Herron

Me waiting for Donald Trump to be held accountable for anything.

Bob Romaninsky

He will die and not be held accountable by vitue of death. It is the Republicans who were complicit in this degradation of American law and principals. They should be held accountable.

Byron Lemky

He AND ALL OF HIS LAWYERS should ALL be thrown into prison together.

Jay Dee

…in a “third world banana Republic”.

R Hancock

so, the USA?

R Kannan

US will be one by the time Dump is done with it.

Al Klein

Maybe Gitmo. After all personnel have been returned to the US mainland.

Jay Dee

You missed the point.

Todd Olar

El Salvador with the people he sent there

Ken Sumner

Run along POS magat

Southpaw

Praying for a massive stroke where he can no longer speak. It would be fucking poetic justice.

Dave Stevens

And lose all his hair.

Marjorie Hunter

Hair aka yellow cotton candy

Harvey Frank

at times like this I really hope there is a hell. I will take my chances if I knew he was going to be judged (I am an agnostic!)

Joanne Miarecki

That is my hope to ,massive stroke,no make up no hairdresser ,drooling, sitting in a wheelchair having to watch other people golf. This will sound racist as he’ll, but a big Nigerian or Jamaican nurse.

Lee Ferguson

He’s almost there already.

Emily Smith · 8mo

Or type in all CAPS on “Truth” Social!

Al Klein

So on January 20, 2029, he’ll have all the mental faculties to run the most powerful nation on Earth, and on January 21, 2029, he’ll be “too far gone” to be able to stand trial. And it may actually work!

(And they wonder why people are driven to assassinate ex-presidents.)

Ian Clements

Has any ex-USA President been assassinated?

Al Klein

Not so far, but you never know.

Yinzer513

I think the odds of him making it until 2029 are diminishing rapidly.

Neil Robertson

The World hopes so+!

President Trump was under the tutelage of Roy Cohn, when he was a young man. Most people absolutely hated him as a person, even how he looks is disgusting/vile. Not to mention he was gay, at a time it was seen as something a man should be ashamed of. That didn’t deter Trump from learning from a super star lawyer, who defended the most high profile mobsters of the 60s and 70s. Which was invaluable knowledge. Trump learned how to manipulate the system, and let it work for him. How to avenge losses and defeat his enemies in battle.

Laura P.

And Roy Cohn was also closely connected to McCarthy in the 1950’s that was termed “McCarthyism”. This sick movement accused and persecuted people they randomly and falsely identified as communist. Cohn taught him to lie, lie, lie and never back down.

Justin Mitchell

The first part is correct, and it was a modern day witch hunt that hurt alot of people’s careers at the time. Cohn did teach Trump to never back down, and to attack, attack, attack. Basically deny everything, and admit nothing. To be honest, the man was brilliant and gave Donald the playbook to ultimate victory and to create an amazing life for himself and all he accomplished. I would compare it to Biff getting the Almanac from his Grandfather in the movie “Back to the Future”. Especially part when he says “With this, you can’t lose”. I’m jealous I didn’t have such a mentor like that growing up.

Jay Dee

Not for nothin’, but your comments look more like praise than denigration or infamy.

Patricia G.

Í hate to admit it, but I think you are right. I wouldn’t dare to say out loud what I think should happen to the individual known as Donald J. Trump. Suffice it to say that my plan of action would take advantage of every single waking moment that he has left in his lifetime to make sure that he is thoroughly miserable, sad, sick, in pain, & sorry that he was ever born. (hatched?)

Bill West

Only by history. He and his supports will go to their graves denouncing how history was unfair to him

Kevin Tobin

My hope is that history will be very unkind to him and his family. Besides that, bless his deranged soul as he rots in some hole in the ground. Everything dies eventually.

Diane Kosbob

Ass hole

Todd Olar

The new defense will most likely be that his cognitive decline is advanced to go to prison

David Krull

Better be held accountable or his family should be held accountable. He is not to be allowed to do all this deed that he’s done and get away with it.

Neil Robertson

Sadly it looks like accountability is something that this malignant, fascistic fraudster will never be subjected to!…more is the pity+++!

Lock it up!!!!!!!!!

Steven Richardson

It’s called “diminished capacity”

Marie-Genevieve Lewis

It Looks like rTrump would be able to escape from the law of this earth, BUT won’t be able to escape from the celestial law.

Jay Dee

Except that I’m quite certain that tRump doesn’t believe in any of that.

Jojo Smith

I don’t think he can use the old/sickly approach or at least it didn’t work for Harvey Weinstein. For him to use the mental excuse would require that he has his lawyers use that he has dementia or whatever mental illness. Assuming he still has his faculties intact, I doubt he would want to have that admitted in public.

Dudley Dixon

Ur probably right about that unless they impeach the radical judge’s off the Supreme Court and maybe change all those laws that they invented then maybe. Just my opinion and hope to prove that nobody is above the laws that we follow. Someone has to right this country back to where it can be respected again

Vi Mangini

Criminally insane in a sanitarium

if he can’t go to prison

Alice Lind

I think about what Justice is. Do you know some people do bad things and are never caught. Some people like Trump get famous and become well a legend in their own mind.

Alice Lind

Maybe it’s a Catholic dogma that after person dies he/she has to be punished for the sins they did during his/her life To be able to get to heaven. Maybe it’s that after a person dies, there’s nothing. No heaven no hell. No purgatory no chance of redemption, but I know that it does not feel right that some people can just do some bad things for so long and even get rewarded And not be held accountable in this life. Sometimes I try to figure this out but I’m not God and I’m not trying to be a judge. But I know that bad things need to be fixed somehow.

Michael Parris

I think this is a fair assessment.

I also think there’ll be a lot of silence from the ‘karma’ crowd.

Ken Sumner

Rump has to be locked up eventually or America is doomed from here on out. Believe it. You’re watching it live

Dave Strang

No of course not. He is above the law and his cult of morons loves it

Andrew Petruska

WE ARE ALL ACOUNTABLE for WHAT WE DO! HE WILL GET HIS JUST REWAREDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Look at Cosby! He ain’t Young , BUT SENTENCED TO PRISON FOR HIS CRIMES AGAINST WOMEN! Then look at that FAT PIG tRUMP! HE WILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get his! I Believe in HELL! and HE AIN’T NO HAND BASKET!

John Fitzpatrick

Trump has too many lawyers to delay everything.

Jodie Fouks

He could be confined to a hospital or a home of some sort and just not be allowed to be free and wear an ankle bracelet. That would work.

Noel Ellis

Sad but true.

Johnny Babst

tRump , I use that all the time

Robin Fassett

I know a way, JUST IMMORAL.
