Intelligent Design and Biblical Scripture

Most Christians assume that young-earth creationism has always been a core tenet of American fundamentalist Christianity—but this linkage is more tenuous than is often presumed. The story of how American fundamentalists—and, by extension, many conservative evangelicals—came to associate young-earth creationism with biblical Christianity is one that all contemporary Christians should understand.

**** Published in response to the early twentieth century’s challenges to Scripture’s trustworthiness, The Fundamentals, a collection of 90 essays, addresses a wide range of issues relevant to core Christian doctrine, including creation and evolution (see part 1). Though the essayists present sharp critiques of Darwinian evolution, they do not promote young-earth creationism. Despite the belief that fundamentalist Christianity and young-earth creationism have always been intertwined, the connection wasn’t forged until the anti-evolution campaigns of the 1920s.

Though Baptist pastor William Bell Riley, founder of the interdenominational World’s Christian Fundamentals Association, and William Jennings Bryan, a former secretary of state and three-time presidential candidate, were the most formidable defenders of fundamental Christianity in the early twentieth century, they and many other fundamentalists of the time, were not young-earth creationists. Although somewhat ambivalent, Bryan conceded that the universe certainly could be millions of years old and that all life-forms, including humans, could have been created by God more than a few thousand years ago—a point that he admitted under cross-examination by Clarence Darrow in the famous Scopes Trial in 1925. By far the most influential proponent of young-earth creationism in the 1920s and 1930s was George McCready Price, the acknowledged “father” of modern young-earth creationism.

George McCready Price

Price, a Seventh-Day Adventist¹ and a self-described “geologist,” had nothing beyond an elementary school-level education in the sciences. However, historian Ronald Numbers points out that Price “considered it a virtue that he had never been infected with the disease of ‘universityitis.’”² Undaunted, and believing that God had called him to uphold the true biblical view of creation, Price began researching and writing on science-related issues in the early 1900s.

Price rejected the day-age theory and advocated what he labeled “the new catastrophism” or “flood geology,” a theory that held that a universal flood had reshaped the earth according to its current features. This was an extreme position that relatively few Christians held, including most educated anti-evolutionists—but the theory gradually gained wider acceptance due to Price’s exhaustive efforts. In 1902, he published Outlines of Modern Christianity and Modern Science, which he later hailed as “the first Fundamentalist book.”³ In it he asserts that “life has been on our globe only some six or seven thousand years,” and that “the earth as we know it…was brought into existence in six literal days.”⁴

Over the next 30 years, Price penned more than two dozen other books and hundreds of articles promoting his flood geology theory. Yet he devoted relatively little attention to critiquing evolution per se. After all, if Earth was in fact only a few thousand years old, then no time would be left for evolution to take effect. Price dismissed Neanderthals and other bipedal hominids as “degenerate offshoots which had separated from the main stock”⁵ of humanity.

After laboring in relative obscurity for 15 years, Price’s New Light on the Doctrine of Creation(1917) finally brought him recognition beyond the narrow parameters of Seventh-Day Adventism, and in 1923, he published his magnum opus, a 700-page textbook entitled The New Geology. As in his other works, Price critiques uniformitarian geology and offered as an alternative his new catastrophism theory, contending that the Genesis flood was the central geological event in Earth history. Coming as Price’s ideas did in the midst of the contentious controversies over Darwinism and secularism, many fundamentalists found him to be a useful ally whether they totally accepted his overarching theme or not. With the 1929 publication of Back to Creationism by Harold Clark (a protégé of Price’s), young-earth creationism was repackaged as the new “science of creationism.”

Like most conservative Christians, Price considered evolution to be unscientific, but his greatest concern was that it was unbiblical and innately immoral. In that regard, he argued that it was a deterministic theory that left no place for human free will and morality. Accordingly, he charged that “the ruthless ethics of Darwinism”⁶ were a major contributing factor to German militarism and imperialism in the Great War, and in 1921, he sought to link Darwinism to Marxism and cultural decay in his books Poisoning Democracy and Socialism in the Test Tube.

To his credit, unlike most disputants in the creation-evolution war of the early 1900s, Price understood that science cannot be divorced from philosophy. As he argued, even the collection and analysis of scientific “facts” was conditioned by the scientist’s own philosophical (and theological) orientation and presuppositions. Therefore, just as geologists and paleontologists look at facts “through the colored spectacles of Darwin and Lyell,”⁷ so too do creationists view the natural world through the lens of Scripture.

So for Price, the determining factor in what to believe came down to the philosophical principle of abduction: What is the most reasonable explanation of the facts of nature? In this regard he was quite correct, but unfortunately his whole interpretive framework was restricted by biblicist presuppositions—namely, the assumption that the Bible is the sole and exclusive repository of all knowledge. Although his hermeneutics are usually described as a “literal” reading of the Genesis creation account, they could be more accurately described as a literalisticinterpretation that discounts factors such as the text’s literary genre, linguistic characteristics (such as figures of speech, hyperbole, phenomenological language, etc.), authorial intent, and the historical context of the passage.

Acceptance of Young-Earth Creationism

Throughout his career, Price was a controversial character, but his young-earth creationist theory was nonetheless appealing to many Christians who were confused by the perplexing complexities of the creation-evolution debate. In particular, his case for no animal death before the fall seemed theologically sound, as did his argument for a universal deluge in the time of Noah and his flood geology hypothesis. Many proponents of the gap theory, although holding to an ancient universe and Earth, believed that Genesis 1:2 and the following verses refer to a restored creation that was only a few thousand years old. Furthermore, as Price had long contended, if Earth (original or restored) and all life-forms were indeed so young, then the whole debate over evolution was a moot point.

Young-earth creationism continued to meet stiff resistance from most educated Christians and virtually all believing scientists from the 1920s into the 1960s.⁸ Yet as time went on more fundamentalist pastors and evangelists accepted many if not all of its major tenets. Then in 1961, with the publication of The Genesis Flood by Henry M. Morris and John C. Whitcomb, young-earth “scientific creationism” became a mainstream doctrine for most fundamentalists and many conservative evangelicals in much the same way that many considereddispensational eschatology a core tenet of the faith.⁹ In 1963, Morris founded the Creation Research Society, the first significant young-earth research institute to provide an alternative “scientific” explanation for their understanding of the age of the earth. Over the next several decades, other similar organizations cropped up both in the United States and abroad.

Over the past 50 years, other groups have scrupulously critiqued and thoroughly discredited young-earth creationism. Yet young-earth creationism continues to maintain a stronghold in most fundamentalist churches and among many evangelicals and Pentecostals. So what explains this incongruity? I would ascribe it to three factors.

First, various scientific theories such as Darwinian evolution have often been erroneously promoted as scientific fact, which understandably causes many Christians to be skeptical of science in general. Second, among believers there exists a general lack of understanding regarding the basic principles of biblical hermeneutics, which has led to many bizarre and errant interpretations of Scripture throughout the centuries. Third, there is a prevailing anti-intellectual mentality that is pervasive in most of our churches, and, like most other people, Christians prefer easy and simplistic answers to complex questions. However, to paraphrase the great Yale church historian Jaroslav Pelikan, the church should always be more than a school, but the church should never be less than a school.¹⁰ When churches fail in this regard the consequences are severe. Philosopher and apologist William Lane Craig warns believers:

American churches are filled with Christians who are idling in intellectual neutral. As Christians, their minds are going to waste. One result of this is an immature, superficial faith…The church is perishing today through a lack of thinking, not an excess of it.¹¹

Young-earth creationism is a major impediment today to many intellectually driven people who seriously consider the truth-claims of Scripture. Therefore, it is incumbent upon us to understand how it became a core tenet of American fundamentalism and, by extension, how it influenced modern evangelicalism, and how we can respond with a convincing apologetic—a reasoned argument—that is philosophically,biblically, and scientifically credible.

Nothing exists for nothing, creation is not of itself made, and nothing in it has nothing to do. Creation exists solely though an Intelligent Design formulated by the Creators to expand themselves within themselves without limit according to rule. There is aught in Creation not of the Design.

You are not aware of the design because you are not aware of the Principles of Creation. Instead, your entire world view is through a stygian deep of stagnant thought known as the ‘Mentallized Illusion’. The Mentallized Illusion is the accumulated by-product of your wayward thinking over three and a half million years. Because of the illusion your notions about Reality are completely misguided.

For example, you believe the entirety of Creation is a fourteen billion year old Universe. In Reality, Creation is over nine hundred trillion light years across and still within its infancy.

Likewise, you hold that God is a Holy Trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. ln Reality, the Holy Trinity is a Father, Only Begotten Son/Daughter, and Mother. ‘As above so below’. The attribute of the Father is Intelligence, the attribute of the Only Begotten Son/Daughter is Energy, and the attribute of the Mother is Substance.

Intelligence, Energy, and Substance is all there is.

You likewise believe that ‘God the Father’ is the Creator of the Universe. The Father and Mother are the Creators. You have hitherto denied the Mother and Daughter their rightful place in Creation because you have hitherto been completely oblivious to the tenets of Reality.

You likewise believe that the third dimension is all of it. In Reality the Creators are eighteen dimensional. Nothing exists outside the Creators.

In their eighteenth dimensionality they are the Great Even Pool of Darkness. In their fifteenth dimensionality they are the Holy Trinity. In their fourteenth dimensionality they are a vast living Cube and Sphere projection known as the ‘Cube and Sphere of Alpha and Omega’. In their thirteenth dimensionality and below they are Creation.

In causeless cause, their Great Even Pool of Darkness consists only of Intelligent Breath and Tiny Particles of Substance. By cause of their Holy Trinity self, the Cube and Sphere of Alpha and Omega comprises Pure Intelligence, Pure Energy, and Pure Substance.

By cause of their Holy Trinity self, their Creation comprises the Island of Paradise and all dimensions below.

The three aspects of the Holy Trinity are permutable in seven different ways. The seven permutations are, Father, Son/Daughter, Mother, Mother/(Son/Daughter), Father/Mother, Father/(Son/Daughter), and Father/Mother/(Son/Daughter). The seven frequencies comprise the absolute potentiality of Alpha and Omega.

Their three attributes can also be permuted in the same seven ways, namely, 1. Intelligence, 2. Energy, 3. Substance, 4. Substance/Energy (Expansion), 5. Intelligence/Substance (Perfection), 6. Intelligence/Energy (Creation), and 7. Intelligence/Energy/Substance (Completion, pure Triune Being, the day of rest).

The seven attributional permutations are called the ‘Seven Days of Creation’. Also called Dimensions. The Outer Creation is based upon the ‘Seven Days of Creation’.

The Holy Trinity is not materialized, comprising consciousness only. The Cube and Sphere of Alpha and Omega and their Creation below are both materialized.

The Cube and Sphere of Alpha and Omega is the interface between the higher ‘internalized’ non-material frequencies of Alpha and Omega as their Holy Trinity self and dimensions above, and their lower ‘externalized’ materialized frequencies as their dimensions below. Through the intermediary of their Cube and Sphere projection the whole of Creation bears existence.

Their ‘externalized’ materializations exist solely as a result of the Intelligent Design formulated by Alpha and Omega to expand themselves. Through their Intelligent Design, all of their Creation has been blueprinted and expressed. Every aspect of Creation is by auspices of the Design and by the Design every aspect of Creation fulfills a specific purpose. There are no exceptions.

The Cube and Sphere of Alpha and Omega is the cornerstone of their Intelligent Design.

The Cube and Sphere of Alpha and Omega is the first projected outcome of themselves into external materialized form. Within their Cube and Sphere projection, Alpha is a Vast Sphere of Pure Intelligence, the Only Begotten Son/Daughter a Vast Y Factor of Pure Energy, and Omega is a Vast Cube of Pure Substance. The Cube and Sphere of Alpha and Omega is the largest living atom in Creation.

Their electromagnetic equivalents are Intelligence – red, Energy – blue, and Substance – yellow.

The Mother holds the Father in her bosom. In you, the principle adheres. Your Substance factor holds your Intelligence factor in your bosom.

Around the Cube and Sphere exists the Island of Paradise. Around the Island of Paradise exists the Inner Creation. Around the Inner Creation exists the Outer Creation. You are in the Outer Creation.

The Inner Creation was completed long ago and is much smaller than the Outer.

Paradise is the highest dimension of the Inner Creation. The Inner Creation is the thirteenth dimension to the ninth. The Outer Creation is the seventh dimension to the first. The eighth dimension is a vast void, whose sole purpose is the frequency transmutation of Soul Atoms passing through from the Inner Creation to their Outer and visa versa.

The whole of Creation is taken to be the fourteenth dimension to the first.

The Outer Creation is composed of seven great Super Universes, The seven great Super Universes are bubbles, created in accordance with the frequencies of the Seven Days of Creation tied together.

The bubbles surround the Inner Creation like the petals of a flower. Each Super Universes is seven dimensional but reflects one of the seven outer dimensions as its primary attribute. Each Super Universe is fully triune but biased on the side of its attribute.

The Super Universe attributions follow the same order of rule as does the seven outer dimensions.

The first Super Universe is biased on the side of Intelligence, the second on the side of Energy, the third on the side of Substance, and so on. The seventh Super Universe is Intelligence/Energy/Substance, pure Triune. You are in the Seventh Super Universe.

The seven Super Universes are not all the same in size. The first Super Universe of Intelligence is very small. The last Super Universe of Intelligence/Energy/Substance is very large.

Urversa is the administrative center of the Seventh Super Universe. Nirvana is a satellite of Urversa. Nirvana is the portal to the eight dimensional void for transition to the Inner Creation for the Evolution.

The current Outer Creation is projected through the Will of the Father and Expression of the Son, that the Desire of the Mother and Expression of the Daughter become known.

Seven more Super Universes are to become created. The seven new Super Universes will all be projected through the Desire of the Mother and the Expression of the Daughter that the Will of the Father and Desire of the Mother be upheld.

All fourteen Super Universes will become expanded seven more times after that. The seven final expansions will be through the Will of the Father and expression of the Son, plus Desire of the Mother and expression of the Daughter that the whole of Alpha and Omega’s original seven frequency causal potentiality of Father, Only Begotten Son/Daughter, and Mother becomes fulfilled.

When the final expansion has been completed, the Great Even Pool of Darkness will have become converted into an everlasting single Triune expression of Absolute Intelligence, Absolute Energy, and Absolute Substance, whose consciousness will be Absolute Father, Absolute Mother, and Absolute Only Begotten Son and Daughter. And the Great Even Pool of Darkness will stand no more, the entire purpose of Creation.

The seven great Super Universes of the Outer Creation are likewise each seven dimensional. The dimensions follow in the same order of rule as the Seven Days of Creation for being of the same principle in kind. The consciousness of everyone in the Outer Creation including yourselves is likewise seven dimensional. Likewise following in the same order of rule for being of the same principle in kind.

The character of the first dimension is Intelligence, the character of the second dimension is Energy, and the third dimension is Substance. Your consciousnesses as you are, projected into Earth’s lower third dimensional outer world condition as you are, are completely unable to distinguish between the first three dimensions. For convenience, the first three dimensions of Intelligence, Energy, and Substance are collectively called the third dimension.

The character of the fourth dimension is expansion. Where the frequencies of all seven dimensions are present as distinct sub octaves or Energy transitions within the dimension. All seven dimensions are also represented within each of the seven sub octaves as levels mirroring in principle the seven dimensions within each of the seven great Super Universes.

There are seven times seven equals forty nine different Energy levels of the fourth dimension. Which you call the astral planes or astral states.

In reflection of the forty nine astral planes of the fourth dimension, the United States of America was founded on the spiritual principle of forty eight states plus Alaska above the forty ninth parallel as the forty ninth state. The fiftieth state of Hawaii is a misanthropic imposition bearing no relationship to Reality.

The bottom line of the Outer Creation is the fifth dimension. Within the perfection of the fifth dimension the Ascendancy begins their journey to become Trinitized at the feet of the Creators in Paradise and the Descendancy works at lowest light. The seventh dimension is the main stay of the Outer Creation.

Your third dimensional population on Earth is a complete aberration, ill consequent of Lucifer’s Self Will Rebellion of the Cosmic Overplus. The Rebellion occurred five billion years ago and the clean up in the aftermath is already well underway as that you call Armageddon.

In myriad numbers, Alpha and Omega have also projected living ‘Soul Atom/Atum’ Son and Daughter particles of themselves into Creation. Called Soul Atoms. Where Atom/Atum means Male/Female. ‘In our likeness and image made we them’.

In Reality, all Soul Atom children including yourselves, participate in bringing about the eventual fulfilled completion of Creation into absolute Triune accomplishment. Soul Atoms have no other responsibility.

Likewise in Reality, the third dimensions of the Super Universes do not contain populations. Earth is anomalous, having a population pinned down within its third dimension by misadventure.

The entire population of Earth is composed of living particle Soul Atom children of Alpha and Omega. You have become temporarily mired down within Earth’s lower third and fourth dimensional outer expressions and believe yourselves to be mortal non-descripts. Nothing could be further from the truth. In Reality you are all Triune Celestial Soul Atom children of Alpha and Omega.

The Cube and Sphere of Alpha and Omega is the largest living Atom in Creation. The Soul Atom children of Alpha and Omega are the smallest. Soul Atom Beings are not the Tiny Particles of the Great Even Pool of Darkness. The Tiny Particles are of Substance only. All living Soul Atoms in Creation are complete Intelligence, Energy, and Substance emulations of the Holy Trinity principle of the Creators. Again, ‘In our likeness and image made we them’.

The Creators are consciences. The expression of every Soul Atom in Creation is consciousness. Every Being in Creation is an eternally conscious living Soul Atom expression of Alpha and Omega, and is Triune.

Universally throughout Creation consciousness is the same and is known everywhere as ‘Christ’ consciousness. The frequencies of Christ consciousness are of the Only Begotten Son/Daughter, expressed the same by every living Soul Atom in Creation irrespective of who or where or in what dimension. Through everyone’s Christ consciousness capability everyone is co-creative to the Creation.

Christ Consciousness is the key. Once you get the picture that Christ Consciousness is what it’s all about you understand everything about what’s going on. In Reality, Creation exists solely through the loving responsibilities of Christ Conscious Soul Atoms in projection.

As the Piscean Christ for the Piscean Age, Jesus Christ taught and exemplified Christ consciousness to the masses two thousand years ago. Today, the Aquarian Christ for the Aquarian Age is not in the form of a single individual but in the form of a mass expansion of everyone’s consciousness back to full Christ conscious understanding. Already well underway. As your consciousnesses expands, so do your works.

Throughout Reality, regardless of the dimension you are from or from where within Creation you have come, your Soul Atom enters a lower dimension to do works by forming an outer projection around itself. Namely, an outer Substance body manifestation around your inner Christ Soul Atom self.

The process of projecting is called incarnating. The terms ‘projection’, ‘projecting’, ‘forming an outer projection’, and ‘incarnating’ all mean the same thing. Specifically, the act of projecting into a given dimensionality to be of love and service to the Creation for the Creators in accordance with your original mandated responsibility by act of forming an outer bodily projection or Substance materialization around your own higher Christ Soul Atom self within that dimensionality. ‘Being about your Father and Mother’s business’.

At the present time you are a Triune Celestial Christ Soul Atom Being who has precipitated a temporary outer material projection, called ‘physical body’, within the confines of Earth’s lesser third dimensional outer frequency condition.

Within any projection within any dimension, your inner Soul Atom Christ Self forms two cubistic matrixes around itself. The first is called your Inner or Upper Consciousness matrix. The second is called your Lower or Outer Consciousness matrix.

Your Inner Consciousness matrix upholds your spirituality. Your Outer Consciousness matrix upholds your materialization or outer bodily manifestation. Your Inner Consciousness matrix is determined by the astrophysical family of Creation to which you belong. It also includes your Celestial heritage of Descendancy if a Descendant Being, or level of Ascendancy if an Ascendant Being.

It also includes your Soul Atom’s responsibilities to bear plus those you have accepted. Plus any conditions you have may accumulated along the way and have agreed to clear in the current incarnation.

Your Outer Consciousness matrix is particular to your incarnating environment, including any vibrations which may become present from your environment. Your inner and outer consciousness frequencies together are the conscious persona by which you are known to yourself and others as the incarnated Being walking about.

In setting up the forefront of Creation, in accordance with their Intelligent Design the Creators formed the Cube and Sphere outer projection of themselves into the frequencies of their lower dimensions as the progenitive incarnation.

In initiating the principle, as progenitor, the Cube and Sphere of Alpha and Omega was simultaneously both the first living Soul Atom in existence and also the first official incarnation. Through the frequencies of the Cube and Sphere projection, Creation eventually become projected and will continue to expand until completed as the eventual outer projection of their Holy Trinity self.

Within the later greater made projection of the Creators known as ‘Creation’, the Inner Creation comprises the Inner Consciousness matrix aspect and the Outer Creation comprises the outer bodily manifestation. The Cube and Sphere of Alpha and Omega is as their Soul Atom self forming the projection under the Will, Desire, and Action of their Holy Trinity Self.

In following the progenitor principle of Outer Creation around the Inner, and the Inner Creation around the originating Soul Atom Cube and Sphere of Alpha and Omega, your Outer Consciousness matrix surrounds your Inner Conscious matrix and your Inner Consciousness matrix surrounds your originating Christ Soul Atom Self which made the projection. The same is true for every incarnated Soul Atom anywhere in Creation including yourselves. Again , ‘As above so below’.

At the current moment you are caught within the frequencies of Earth’s third and fourth dimensions. Under normal circumstances the first four dimensions of Creation do not hold populations. On Earth an aberration exists whereby third and fourth dimensional expressions of consciousness do exist.

Living physically as you are within the third dimension, existing day by day with self serving interests only, you are living completely illusionary existences. Your day to day activities and motivations are nearly completely meaningless from the point of view of Reality and contribute very little to higher Cause. What you consider to be the ordinary events of everyday life have very few counterparts in Reality.

In actuality you are a higher dimensional Triune Celestial Being who has become temporarily subject to Earth’s third dimensional Mentallized Illusion which you yourselves created.

Within your materialization you have five lower outer senses and one hundred and five higher inner senses. Your five lower outer senses are tied strictly to the outer third dimensional materiality. Your one hundred and five inner higher senses are tied to the fourth dimensional beginnings of Reality beyond the illusion and higher. On Earth, ordinary light is visible through your outer senses, auric light is visible through your one hundred and five higher senses.

The extension of your matrixes can be seen by the higher sense awareness of others around you as your auric field. The ten basic frequencies of the aura are:

White – endeavour to spiritually perfect ‘man/body/mind/soul’,

Yellow – protect ‘man/body/mind/soul’,

Orange – serve ‘man/body/mind/soul’,

Red – strengthen ‘man/body/mind/soul’,

Violet – understand and teach ‘man/body/mind/soul’,

Blue – you are of Christ ‘man/body/mind/soul’ nature of being,

Green – be at peace with ‘man/body/mind/soul’,

Brown – comfort ‘man/body/mind/soul’,

Grey – do not afflict ‘man/body/mind/soul’,

Black – do not destroy ‘man/body/mind/soul’.

The auric fields of Humanitarians are mostly static free. The auric fields of despots are static imposed. When your outer consciousness has come into alignment with your inner consciousness sufficient to become harmonious to the Creators, you become transfigured. When you become transfigured your third and fourth dimensional outer bodily Substances come into harmony with the frequencies of the fifth.

Ordinary visible light re-appears in narrow bands at higher and higher frequencies like the musical note C of your chordant scale. Societal materializations exist in Creation only within the bands of visible light.

The octaves of visible light in which societal materializations occur are the fifth dimension, seventh dimension, ninth dimension, eleventh dimension, and thirteenth dimension. Societal materializations can also exist temporarily in the third dimensional band of visibility such as on Earth as an aberration. Called time lines. Time lines are temporary and not normally a part of the everlasting fabric of Creation.

In Reality, very, very few such third dimensional time line materializations exist. Such third dimensional time line materializations as do exist are miscreants, temporary aberrances due to Lucifer’s Self Will Rebellion of the Cosmic Overplus. Al are slated to become properly reconfigured back into whole, sound, and perfect fifth dimensional Reality through the undertaking of the all encompassing inter-dimensional clean up program now already well underway called Armageddon.

The fifth and seventh dimensional octaves of materialization are the mainstays of the Outer Creation.

The ninth and eleventh dimensional octaves of materialization are the mainstays of the Inner Creation.

The thirteenth dimensional octave of materialization is the Island of Paradise, the mainstay of all Creation.

The eleventh state of consciousness is the full Triune state of Knowing ‘of’ the Creators. The thirteenth state of consciousness is the full Triune state of Knowing ‘with’ the Creators.

Get thee ‘Wisdom’, but above all get thee ‘Understanding’.

By the end of the Revelatorium, you will again know ‘of’ the Creators. By the end of the Age of Aquarius you will again know ‘with’ the Creators.

HIGHER POWER: many people don’t believe that God exist and Jesus was a mislead preach if he even had existed. My response is that all can witness a magnanimous universe which has extraordinarily precise order. We are intricately designed with a functionality so complicated until scientist hasn’t comprehended at present. This within itself is enough proof for the casual observer.

The One Who ordered the universe is invisible and the things that He created make Him known. ROMANS 1:20;”For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:” The higher order that we can observe, if possess common sense, reveals our Higher Power; our Creator Who designed each of us including all that exist.

The Word of God is about our Higher Power, God. Jesus represent God in our temporal world; for He is God manifested in the flesh with the purpose of returning us to the Kingdom of God. Jesus is our identity in the spiritual and the natural world.

God loves us so much until God rewards each person for trying; we don’t have to achieve the goal of arriving in the Kingdom of God before we are rewarded. God gives partial credit, which are full blessings to each of us, to those who seek Him.

Higher Order reveals our Higher Power. Many of us Christians are looking forward to revival in 2014; we sense the return of Jesus even in the Spirit for revival of the nation.  Our youths are going to be the main concern.

It’s amazing how everyone is so full of advice at this time of the year – in fact everywhere you look you will find advice – some good, some not so good – on how to get rid of that excess weight gathered over the holiday season; how to get the best body; the best exercise workout for the new year; great devotionals for getting our spiritual life off to a good start.

Despite this plethora of wisdom, very few people really stick to these new years resolutions. In fact few people make lasting changes in their lives despite the desire and sometimes-desperate intent to do so.

Why?

It all begins in your mind: your thinking, your emotions and your choices. If your mind isn’t right, then you will not stick with anything, no matter how great. Your mind is the most powerful thing in the Universe – after God of course. It is with your mind that you choose to develop your spiritual walk and relationship with God and it is with your mind you choose to stick with that diet and exercise regimen.

We have been created with a love, power and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7) and God made us virtuous, but we choose to go down our own pathway (Ecclesiastes 7:29). So we are powerful enough to choose right and stick with it. This is actually our default mode. We need to train and discipline our minds in order to develop our spirit and have healthy bodies.

Most Christians assume that young-earth creationism has always been a core tenet of American fundamentalist Christianity—but this linkage is more tenuous than is often presumed. The story of how American fundamentalists—and, by extension, many conservative evangelicals—came to associate young-earth creationism with biblical Christianity is one that all contemporary Christians should understand.

From the time of the Reformation to the twentieth century, most Christians believed that God created the entire universe, or that he reformed Earth and created all earthly life including human beings, about 6,000 years ago. This popularized belief was based on calculations by influential scholar Archbishop James Ussher. In calculating a date for creation, Ussher assumed that no gaps exist in the Genesis genealogies and that the six “days” (Hebrew: yôm) of creation were literal and consecutive 24-hour periods. Such was his influence that beginning in the early 1700s, many editions of the King James Bible incorporated Ussher’s chronology into their marginal annotations and cross-references, including the important Scofield Reference Bible of 1909, which held popularity among fundamentalists and evangelicals throughout much of the twentieth century.

However, by the early 1800s, some naturalists pointed to new discoveries in astronomy and geology as serious challenges to the credibility and historicity of the Genesis creation account. Within a generation, traditional Christians found themselves facing three challenges to Genesis’ trustworthiness. First, astronomers replaced the idea of instantaneous creation of the solar system with the nebular hypothesis, a view that requires eons of time. Second, geologists James Hutton, Charles Lyell, and others made the case that Earth was millions of years old, rather than a few thousand, and that life had existed on Earth for far longer than the 6,000 years that the biblical genealogies supposedly indicated. Third, and most alarming, was the challenge posed by Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution, which holds that all life-forms, including human beings, evolved over millions of years via the aegis of common descent and natural selection.

By the turn of the century, many Christians conceded that the Bible allowed for an ancient universe, an ancient earth, and even pre-Edenic life—a notable change from the consensus opinion only a generation or two earlier. Among the proponents of the old earth, day-age theory were the two most prominent conservative theologians of the era: Charles Hodge and B. B. Warfield, both of Princeton Theological Seminary. Other supporters included distinguished geologists such as Louis Agassiz of Harvard, Arnold Henry Guyot of Princeton, and John William Dawson of McGill University in Montreal.

Meanwhile, as the historian Ronald Numbers notes in his book The Creationists, young-earth creationists (mainly Seventh-Day Adventists with little or no formal education in any scientific discipline) published very little evidence to support their view:

No doubt many Christians, perhaps most, remained unpersuaded by the geological evidence of the earth’s great age and continued to believe in a recent creation in six literal days, but these people rarely expressed their views in books and journals.¹

The Fundamentals

Many believers understood that the real threat to their faith came not from the controversy regarding the age of the earth (and the universe) but from “modernism” in general, including theological liberalism and Darwinian evolution. In response to these challenges, the Reverend A. C. Dixon, a prominent Baptist pastor and evangelist, conceived of editing a series of pamphlets that would define traditional Protestant Christianity. The project, compiled during 1910 to 1915 in collaboration with R. A. Torrey, another well-known pastor and evangelist, was entitled The Fundamentals. By the time of its completion, The Fundamentals included 90 essays that address a wide range of issues including creation and evolution.

While the essays on creation argue for the historicity of the Genesis account, they avoid the controversy over age of the earth and the length of the creation days. For example, in his essay, “The Early Narratives of Genesis,” Presbyterian theologian James Orr writes:

You say there is the “six days” and the question of whether those days are meant to be measured by the twenty-four hours of the sun’s revolution around the earth—I speak of these things popularly. It is difficult to see how they should be so measured when the sun that is to measure them is not introduced until the fourth day. Do not think that this larger reading of the days is a new speculation. You find Augustine in early times declaring that it is hard or altogether impossible to say of what fashion these days are, and Thomas Aquinas, in the middle ages, leaves the matter an open question. To my mind these narratives in Genesis stand out as a marvel, not for its discordance with science, but for its agreement with it.²

In addition to Orr’s piece, four other essays deal with science-related issues. The Reverend H. M. Sydenstricker’s “The Science of Conversion” is an unimpressive attempt to impose a scientific methodology on the phenomenon of spiritual conversion, while the Reverend Henry H. Beach’s “The Decadence of Darwinism” argues that Darwinism, being based on natural selection and the survival of the fittest, “degrades [both] God and man.”³

On the other hand, “Evolution in the Pulpit,” written anonymously by “An Occupant of the Pew,” is a powerful essay that exposes fatal flaws in Darwinian theory and chastises liberal clergymen who “adopted the new philosophy”⁴ and accepted “the destructive higher criticism which has so viciously assailed both the integrity and authority of the Scriptures.”⁵ In one particularly convicting passage, the author writes:

The layman…finds his first feeling to be one of astonishment that men calling themselves Christians can on grounds so frivolous repudiate large parts of Scripture, and deliberately sow the seed of unfaith in the minds and hearts of thousands of their hearers. This is apt to be followed by one of indignation at the low moral quality and cowardice of their action in thus undermining the faith of the Church while accepting its pay….And this despite the fact that, according to their own witness of themselves, their strong point is the possession and preaching of a very superior quality of ethics. Indeed, in listening to them one can hardly escape the conviction that righteousness, personal and civic, was a thing almost unknown before their advent….Far better would it be for all concerned if these ministers had the courage of their convictions, and sense of honor enough to compel them to leave the Christian Church.”⁶

George Frederick Wright’s essay, “The Passing of Evolution,” is also particularly noteworthy. As a minister and geologist, Wright was one of the few Christian anti-evolutionists of the time who possessed both scientific and theological credentials. Ironically, he had been an ardent supporter of Darwin a few decades earlier, even referring to himself as a “Christianized Darwinist.” Wright believed in the divine inspiration of Scripture but held that it was infallible only in matters “necessary to be known, believed, and observed for salvation.”⁷ In the 1880s, Wright became a professor of New Testament studies at Oberlin Theological Seminary where his focus shifted to the defense of the Bible against proponents of biblical “higher criticism.” From that time on, he saw his mission as defending the historical accuracy of the Bible, and it was in that context that he abandoned his earlier advocacy of theistic evolution due to its connection with liberal theology.

In his essay, Wright argued that Darwinian evolutionary theory was the latest attempt to explain the wonders of creation via natural causes. He predicted that just like its predecessors it would eventually fade away. In particular, he charged that Darwinism “practically eliminates God from the whole creative process,”⁸ and that “to carry out their theory [Darwinists] must leap to the conclusion that life itself has originated, spontaneously, by a natural process, from inorganic matter.”⁹ But, of course, “they have no scientific proof. For, so far as is yet known, life springs only from antecedent life.”¹⁰ Furthermore, Wright added, there is no evidence of any “connecting links” between man and previous life-forms. Therefore, he concluded, man is so distinct from other creatures “that it is necessary to suppose that he came into existence as the Bible represents, by the special creation of a single pair, from whom all the varieties of the race have sprung.”¹¹

Significantly, the science-related articles in The Fundamentals do not promote young-earth creationism. In fact, some essayists such as Wright unabashedly upheld the old earth position. So how then did young-earth creationism come to be so closely associated with American fundamental Christianity? Part 2 of this series will examine the answer to this question.

Does atheism have a true monopoly on reason? In my conversations with nonbelievers, I’ve found that probing deeper into the atheistic worldview exposes a key weakness in that perspective and provides an opportunity to demonstrate Christianity’s solid footing in reason.

When I ask my unbelieving friends “Why are you an atheist?” they generally respond with something like “Because there is no God.” I ask them to dig a little deeper to answer my original question.

Generally, a diatribe against religion emerges. Believers are accused of being a bunch of hypocrites who oppress people with their rules while religions are painted in broad strokes as ridiculous superstitions and crutches for weak-minded people. Many claim that belief in God is irrational. From my experience, the atheist asserts that humanity has evolved beyond these irrational impulses and structures, now seeing religion for the garbage it is.

Why Atheism?

My next question is, “Okay, but why choose atheism?”

After all, a lack of faith comes with distinct disadvantages. For example, studies show that people with no faith are more likely than their religious counterparts to suffer from depression and to commit suicide.¹ Besides that (or perhaps at the root of that), atheism doesn’t provide any sense of meaning or purpose for life because everything will end with total annihilation.

Even if atheists argue that we can assign meaning to our lives, once the Sun burns out and the universe goes to heat death what is left? What will be the purpose of striving to not believe in superstition? What will be the purpose of helping other people? Why not just spend all your time throwing pebbles into the sea instead? In the end, such an activity will mean as much as the greatest acts of philanthropy. Pragmatically, wouldn’t it be better to be deluded and happy for this brief, meaningless time?

Nonbelievers often answer that they choose atheism because it’s true. Further, pragmatism is not a good test for truth, which I concede. But is truth really worth possibly sacrificing health, happiness, and meaning? Here some opinions diverge, but most atheists would say that truth is of the utmost importance in dictating their worldview.

“Alright,” I reply, “if truth is so important, why is it that only a small sliver of people ever find it?” My familiarity with scientists may bias this response, but I think most atheists would say that people believe in God because humanity has evolved to believe in God. In the past, religion served a useful function in promoting survival by bringing order to communities and existential motivation to mankind.

Thus, over 90 percent of the world population today suffers from the effects of this grand evolutionary delusion. Only the free-thinkers, the “brights,” have figured out how to get beyond the rubbish of mysticism programmed into our genes through the evolutionary process.

But if it’s true that the human brain is wired to believe in something that is false, then the brain is demonstrably unreliable for discerning truth. How then can atheists trust that their brain has found the truth? Why are they free from the mental subroutines programmed via evolution? How can they be certain that their brain finds truth, not just in this case, but ever? As recently highlighted by Kenneth Samples, atheism’s very assumptions about the world guarantee that we cannot know truth. We have become prisoners of our brain and the evolutionary processes that built it. Reason has been reduced to a molecular pool game with proteins and chemicals whacking about through neural circuitry, generating pictures, colors, and sensations.

While having a molecular pool game governing your decisions may sound fun for a bit, it precludes any master-of-my-own-destiny claims to independence or ownership of achievements, capacities, or ideas. After all, you don’t own your ideas, choices, achievements or fate; that’s just the way the balls bounce. 

The Christian Alternative

Bereft of the certainty of reason and truth that results from a godless worldview, it seems better for the atheist to seek an alternative. In his book C. S. Lewis’ Case for the Christian Faith, Richard Purtill offers the biblical perspective on reason and its origins (emphasis added):

One way of getting a preliminary insight into Lewis’ argument [from reason] is to ask whether nature is a product of mind or mind is a product of nature. If God created nature, as Christians believe, then nature is understandable by reason because it is a product of reason.²

Christianity offers that man is made in the image of God and from this we gather that our mind is formed in likeness to God’s mind. Thus, we have a reason for our reason which is Jesus Christ, the creator of the universe, Earth, and our mind. Indeed the apostle John describes how “the Word” (logos, which can also be translated as “reason”) was with God in the beginning, how reason formed all of nature, and how the incarnate Word came to Earth.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.…The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:1–4, 14)

The idea of Christ as the Word is further refined in John 14:6 where Jesus describes Himself as “the way and the truth and the life.” Here Jesus, reason incarnate, properly claims primacy over truth and life, highlighting how truth and life flow from reason.

Conversely, atheism fails to provide hope, a reason for living, a reason for meaning, or a reason for reason at all. With such a hopeless doctrine for life or truth, I hope atheists will consider reclaiming their reason by exploring the rich doctrines of Christianity that celebrate reason and hope.

Democratic championed issues are lost due to the apathetic-registered-voters. There are more Democrats than republicans, but due to the republican higher percentage of educated voters they win most of the time. I hate to say but republicans are smarter than democrats as a whole. Usually, these issues lost are those that would help the hourly workers, the common people. I always study an issue by finding out which way the almighty dollar goes. Never fail, it always moves up the pyramid toward the rich while the hourly workers allow it to happen. Their favorite trick is to pit us against each other such as the homeless is lazy and costing those that work hard for their pennies. Another deception is wolf in sheep clothing whereas they express that their feeling are the same as the hourly workers, even unto emphasizing good manners and pointing to the ill manners of those who demand fair wages. The CANDY ASS trick!

Let me ask you. Are the feelings the same if the child of a $30K annually paid employee the same when faced with a catastrophic health care problem? Hell no. The only time “I know your feelings” are legit is when healthcare cost is free and raises in pay allows all workers to have nice homes for their children and dependable transportation, and available education for their children.

Republican propaganda is far superior to the democratic promotions. It has hourly workers voting against their best interest. Sensible voters use to vote their wallet, but republican propaganda has changed all of that.

FREE HEALTH CARE is needed because of its necessity and the cost to each family. Canada and the UK which are not socialist countries each have free health care. The purpose of government is the welfare and protection of the citizens. Capitalist in America has coerced the Republicans to fight against Obama Care (which is to help poor people have medical help) in a very deceptive manner. Lets not stop until we have free health care for everyone. Do not listen to the republican’s deeply deceptive lies. Capitalist of the medical businesses are against Obamacare because they won’t be able to exploit the people at will, and just flat ass let people die who has catastrophic illnesses. Profits are the main concern of the corporations; not the people.

WEATHER THE STORM of Obamacare; implementation of Obama Healthcare is going to be instituted successfully, and will save the lives of many Americans. Mega-rich insurance CEO’s and V.P.’s shall be forced to stop their rebellion against Obamacare and accept a few dollars less; the system is inflated any way. After Obamacare is institutionalized, the lies and deceptions by the republican party is going to slowly come out. This is why they are so desperate at this time to kill Obamacare. They are going as far to preach that Obamacare shall destroy America. This is ridiculous. Instead, Obamacare shall save the lives of many citizens who the status quo or exploiters would let die.

Lie rides a fast and fiery horse while Truth rides a slow horse but very dependable. It will always walk in.

CHRIST JESUS said that He was good only because he listened to His Father all the time and about everything, and did only what His Heavenly Father had taught Him. What is right or wrong is a man term in a relative sense. The truth is what is right is what God says each moment…every word that processes from the mouth of God. For man to seek what is absolutely right or wrong is futile. Seek God and His Righteousness at all times for what is right; anything else is wrong after a few clicks of the clock.

We are in need of a Savior because of our sinful nature, and have no means of becoming perfect without blame; each determination of what is right after interacting and competing with others becomes controversial within a short time. Each determination only gives a relative right with wrong associated with it. Jesus was graciously sent to be our Savior by God. As we attempt to obey the Word of God, Jesus comes into the scene and God accepts as perfect; an Absolute Good.

By having Jesus as our Savior each can have peace of mind. Peace of mind is more than being without hassles; it fully means that one who has this God peace shall also receive joy and happiness from God as it should have been in the beginning of creation before the original sin of Adam and Eve who put us on an endless trip through eternity awaiting total destruction.

TEMPTATIONS IN LIFE: Jesus was tempted by the devil using the material things in the world and man’s desire for power because Jesus could have been the leader of the Jews who opposed Roman control. The world is a fraud in progress; it always tempts one into selling out to the world for popularity, power, and material gains, but in the end the world seeks to destroy you. We live in a fallen world, and all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. The sins of man are always working to destroy a person, capitalizing on that person’s sins also.

Most people don’t believe that they are sinners, and they become angry if called a sinner. The truth is that we are only good relative to our social norms at present. The truth is that we all are sinners in the eyes of our Perfect God.

Jesus has overcome the world beginning with His miraculous birth through his resurrection from the dead by God. Jesus is the One Lord of Life that brings each soul into the presence of God, our Heavenly Father. For He ascended into the heavens before many eyes.

The devil capitalizes on any and all unpleasant occurrences. The devil’s ways are seductive because they are for immediate rewards. One need not have patience nor discipline unto what is good.

All other spiritual leaders are intermediate states of Jesus; a special case of Christianity. But, be not tempted to knock the Muslim; let God have His way. The Son of God camp is forever; God’s only Son.
