You may be wondering how they get in. Turns out quite a few people can get into your house semi-legally. Your landlord of course. Also PI’s often have a locksmith license which allows them surreptitious entry. And emergency personnel like cops, paramedics and firefighters have ghost keys. One I didn’t know about was real estate agents. They too often have ghost keys so they can show houses. And often if you hire renovation people to fix your house when you are gone, they will have a lockbox through which they can access your key, which they copy. Your former roommate or ex partner too may have kept a copy. (I don’t think mental health people or child welfare can get in without the cops).
Once inside your house, they can access your computer. Download bad things or write emails pretending to be from you. Rig your computer or TV so it turns on LOUDLY at 2 or 3 AM. Leaving you to wonder if somebody is IN your house. They can access all the food in your fridge, leaving you to wonder why your milk always smells like fingernail polish remover after you’ve left it in the house. (Meth smells like fingernail polish remover – don’t drink it!) Same with the bathroom – they can put contaminants in your shampoo or tooth paste. They can look at and steal your financial information. If you’re working on something confidential they can steal that info. Clothes can go missing and then be returned ( makes you look crazy turning the house upside down looking for it ). DVD players, cash, alcohol, CDs, your camera. If they’re doing construction work they can mess with your electrical or plumbing. Its fairly easy to create a carbon monoxide problem even from outside your house by blocking the air intake.
They can leave your door open in the middle of winter so your pipes freeze. They can poison or hurt your pet. They can release mice or rats or bed bugs so as to necessitate fumigation.
They can plant bugs ( the listening kind ) or set up surveillance through your TV or computer or phone. If you have answering service through the telephone company they can use that to listen to or delete messages before you ever get them.
But the most traumatic isn’t so much the damage they do to your stuff but the sense of violation. They might read your love letters or see you making love to your husband. They might watch you shower or take pictures of your kids playing. They especially like to violate or humiliate people in this way. You may feel afraid to even shower or you may start sleeping in your clothes because you don’t feel safe in your own home anymore. Some religious groups are really tightly wound about masturbation and may be trying to frighten you with the spectre of God’s wrath. This can be really debilitating especially for young people or disabled people who aren’t given reassurance that sexuality is a beautiful and normal part of God’s creation.

Ie to prove my case. I zero’d ALL sexual activity for five years.
