Seven World Changing Precepts

The Bible is not only the world’s most widely distributed book (by the billions), it is also the world’s most widely banned book. That’s because it is not just an eclectic assortment of ancient religious traditions. Rather, it is the ultimate threat to the status quo of prideful, human kingdom building, the ultimate collection of divinely inspired revolutionary writings.

With that in mind, here are seven biblical principles for world changers:

1) “You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet” (Matt. 5:13, ESV). In the ancient world, salt had a number of different functions, including serving as a preservative. When applied to the followers of Jesus, this speaks of our calling to be the moral conscience of society. But this high calling comes with a serious warning. As New Testament scholar R.V. Tasker explained, if the Lord’s followers are “called to be a moral disinfectant in a world where moral standards are low, constantly changing, or non-existent … they can discharge this function only if they themselves retain their virtue.” We cannot change the world if we ourselves are not changed.

2) “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. … [So] let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven” (Mat. 5:14, 16). The greatest problem in America today is not so much the presence of darkness as it is the absence of light. Put another way, it is no surprise that sinful people do sinful things. (Do we really expect carnally minded Hollywood producers to put out God-glorifying, biblically based, family-friendly flicks?) And so we can’t be shocked when the darkness is dark. Instead, we who claim to be devoted to God must shine the light brightly, and we must do it in deed and not only in word. This begins with compassionate ministry to the hurting and the poor.

3) “If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Rom. 8:31) It’s so easy to put our trust in numbers, as if revolutionary change can only happen when our side is in the majority. But even the secular world knows this is not true. As Fidel Castro remarked, “I began revolution with 82 men. If I had to do it again, I’d do it with 10 or 15 and absolute faith. It does not matter how small you are if you have faith and plan of action.” If that’s what Castro could do with a handful of dedicated men, what could God do with them?

4) “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good” (Rom. 12:21). If we become as mean-spirited and hateful as those who oppose us, we have already lost the battle. As Martin Kuther King Jr. famously said, “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” We must set our goals higher by exposing what is wrong and modeling what is right, not by getting dragged down into the dirt.

5) “A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger” (Prov. 15:1). As the old saying goes, you can win the argument but lose the point (or the person!). Don’t let pride or a quick temper dictate your speech (or your online communication). Step back, get control of your emotions, and reach out rather than attack. You’ll be amazed with the results that you get. (Yes, this is easier said than done, but the rewards are well worth the effort.)

6) “All the nations are as nothing before [God], they are accounted by him as less than nothing and emptiness” (Is. 40:17). Remember to keep your perspective. Some of the most ferocious, intimidating leaders of history are nothing more than dust and ashes today, and the Iron Curtain, the Bamboo Curtain and the Berlin Wall all came down in the last generation. As a historian once observed, 2,000 years ago, Nero was considered to be the divine emperor while the apostle Paul was a little known Roman prisoner, soon to be beheaded. Who knew that centuries later, people would call their dogs Nero and their sons Paul?

7) “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). These words were spoken by Jesus to his disciples shortly before He was betrayed and crucified, and they are as relevant today as ever. Jesus wanted them (and us) to know that no one will be totally exempt from pain or suffering or hardship. But, Jesus added, take heart and be at peace. Just as He overcame every obstacle (including death itself!), we His followers can overcome too. In other words, “We shall overcome” was not just the song of the Civil Rights movement. It is our song too. “For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.” (1 John 5:4)

Global Thermal Warning

Often, the most divisive climate change issues have more to do with climate policy rather than with the changing climate itself. This article attempts to address the question of how we can and should respond to this important environmental topic.The reality of global warming (or more broadly, climate change) and society’s response to it represent two different, frequently convoluted topics. It is important to separate these issues so that a reasoned approach—one that avoids hype, fear, and misunderstanding—may be formulated, especially with regard to climate policy. Whether advocating or opposing climate change policy, using politics, poor science, or sensationalism to push one’s agenda only results in greater polarization, distrust, and distraction from the real problems.1 For example, our society often focuses attention on carbon policy, particularly as it affects energy production and use, even though carbon policy is not the same thing as climate policy.

Looking Beyond CO2

Roger Pielke Jr.,2 a political scientist specializing in climate guidelines, summarized the problem into three broad categories:

  1. Too often, climate policies flow against public opinion.
  2. Economic growth is often pitted against climate policy.
  3. Current technology is not sufficient to meet confirmed climate targets.

Moreover, while researchers have made much progress in developing our understanding of the climate, certainty does not seem to be forthcoming.

Global climate models (GCMs) are used extensively to make projections about future climate conditions. While these models are helpful for predicting trends and exploring how environmental parameters affect the climate system, biases and errors in the results often become apparent. These errors are sometimes compounded by regional climate models (RCMs), which are generally down-scaled from the GCMs. So far, RCMs have not provided sufficient predictive power with regard to regional climates, particularly when tested against historical data.3 Thus, the use of RCMs for regional-scale climate mitigation seems premature.

An additional problem with climate policy seems to be that too much is made of CO2 as the driver of climate change. Without a doubt, CO2 is an important greenhouse gas and does produce a clear warming effect, making the reduction of manmade CO2 emissions desirable. However, stabilizing atmospheric concentrations of CO2 does not stop climate change.

Numerous research papers suggest that significant manmade influences are not limited to CO2and include other green house gases such as water vapor, ozone, methane, and nitrous oxides. Carbon soot, sulfates, nitrates and other aerosols, along with land use and land cover effects don’t always receive proper attention. In addition, significant natural climate change has occurred in the past and will occur in the future with or without human influence. All of these factors contribute to the uncertainties in our understanding of the climate system. These shortcomings do not suggest a mandate for no action, but they do suggest that responses should be formulated methodically and reasonably.

The Environment and the Economy

Perhaps greater progress could be made on climate policy if we avoided pitting the environment against the economy. For example, some advocates for carbon-emission reduction have gone so far as to argue for planned economic recession.4 Yet clearly such an approach, which puts nations at potential economic disadvantage, is unlikely to be the best or most popular solution.

Much about the current view toward climate policy seems to stem from air pollution controls set in place in the 1970s and later. Pollution control programs have had significant success in reducing unhealthy pollutants—such as ozone, sulfur dioxide, particulate matter, and other toxins—from the atmosphere. These measures succeeded largely because they did not require a considerable economic sacrifice to achieve the desired results. In addition, many of those affected by the pollutants soon enjoyed the obvious health benefits resulting from the programs. However, with climate change, the perceived benefits are not immediate and the sacrifice to economic productivity is potentially large. Society will sacrifice for environmental benefits but only to the point that such sacrifices do not significantly affect economic benefits. Pielke calls this the “Iron Law of Climate Policy.”5

The economy vs. environment metric implies that current climate policy sometimes produces unrealistic requirements. Unattainable goals may result in either the rejection of the established guidelines or in the appearance of compliance without actually doing anything. The climate bill, which passed the U.S. House of Representatives in 2009 and then failed in the U.S. Senate, set goals of reducing carbon emission levels by 20 percent between 2005 and 2020—and then 83 percent by 2050 (Senate version). To accomplish the 20 percent-reduction goals, Pielke6has determined that to meet the 33 quadrillion BTUs (British Thermal Units) of energy needed for consumption in the United States by 2020, the construction of about 342 nuclear power plants (750-Megawatt) or 200,000 wind turbines (2.5-Megawatt) or 110,000 solar power plants (10-Megawatt) would need to occur. Although it is likely beneficial to promote the construction of any combination of power plants that use non-carbon sources of energy, at present, the number required seems far beyond what could be realistically constructed within the given time frame.

Removing carbon directly from the atmosphere may also be problematic. The estimated costs for removal exceed 1 trillion dollars per 1 part per million (ppm) of CO2 removed from the global atmosphere. However, some semi-realistic approaches to slow annual global CO2 increases seem to be developing, such as CO2 snow deposition and wind farms in Antarctica.7 Returning CO2 levels to 350 ppm (a goal advocated by some climate policy advocates) could potentially approach 50 trillion dollars, a value not substantially smaller than that of the global economy. Furthermore, the global economy would have to stop emitting CO2 at levels that increase emissions. At present, CO2 emissions typically rise by about 2 ppm per year, where the total CO2 concentration is about 394 ppm. Even the aforementioned Antarctic removal of CO2 via CO2 snowfall would curtail only 25 percent of these annual increases.8 Such obstacles to carbon sequestration suggest a need for greater emphasis on energy innovation. Current climate policies tend to mandate use of clean energy but sometimes do little to encourage development of the energy technologies needed to meet those goals.

Mitigation strategies for climate change could also be refocused to reward low-carbon energy applications rather than through direct disincentives toward high-carbon approaches. Other mitigation efforts might focus on climate inputs that have residency times in the atmosphere shorter than that of CO2 (i.e., methane, carbon soot, and ozone). For example, the reduction of carbon soot and ozone from the Arctic could mitigate the last 50 years of warming in that region by more than 50 percent, even before addressing reductions of CO2 concentrations.9

Perhaps a greater recognition that climate will change in the future regardless of the causes would allow society to place more emphasis on adaptation strategies that focus on local and/or regional scales rather than attempting “top-down” approaches that rely too heavily on climate models with sometimes questionable accuracy, especially for regional-scales.10 Regional-based approaches would allow planners, local leaders, and society at-large to better focus on climate extremes that will sooner or later occur in a given region. This focus would, in turn, help populations to better plan and prepare for responses to extreme events such as drought, flooding, earthquakes, or other difficulties that extend beyond climate-related problems (such as emergency response). Such an approach would also allow for greater consideration of local and regional weather patterns that influence particular areas and that may not presently be represented well by climate models.

Climate change is a fact of life for planet Earth—but bickering between opposing sides of the climate policy debate need not be. Clear and careful thinking and thoughtful planning are keys to dealing with climate in a way that benefits both the planet and its people.

God Is Constantly Putting Things Back As It Should Be In Order To Bring US Into His Heaven

God has a Will and a permissive will whereas His permissive will allows the freewill given to us to operate. Once the man Adam made the original sin which separated us from God we no longer had the life-giver doing all what we needed for a utopian life. We lost the Kingdom of God. After much hardships, man began to seek God again. Man’s self is small as compared to God’s Kingdom. At present, we are trying things in an attempt to discover how things should work or what we should think for our convenience, and to repatriate to God again, and be in the Will of God again.

During the mean time, God is constantly guiding us by His umption by His still, soft voice within each of us. God has even come to Earth in the form of Jesus, His Son, in order to return all to Heaven again, an intimate relationship with God whereas God once again becomes what’s right because man’s right or wrong, pros and cons, always shall fall short of the glory of God even if all men decided what is right.

We are disciplined by our physical exposure to nature which constantly suggests God’s Righteousness. On the other hand, we have freewill which allows us to think, and search for what appeases God or what appeases self. Death is our enemy, but self guarantees a continuation of our spiritual death.

We are never along. God is constantly moving each person toward His Will for each person, but we are distracted from God. Upon allowing Jesus, the Savior, to control our life each person becomes part of God’s Will, leading each into Heaven now.

“Heaven is at hand”; Jesus Who is God among us. Man was created to be in heaven; the purpose of our life is to always receive love from God, our Heavenly Father and Creator.

Daniel 3:17
If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king.

Daniel 5:23
And you have lifted yourself up against the Lord of heaven. They have brought the vessels of His house before you, and you and your lords, your wives and your concubines, have drunk wine from them. And you have praised the gods of silver and gold, bronze and iron, wood and stone, which do not see or hear or know; and the God who holds your breath in His hand and owns all your ways, you have not glorified.

Daniel 9:15
And now, O Lord our God, who brought Your people out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and made Yourself a name, as it is this day—we have sinned, we have done wickedly!

Revelation 8:4
And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel’s hand.

Revelation 20:4
[ The Saints Reign with Christ 1,000 Years ] And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

Entanglements Of Life

We are born into a world that has tangled reasoning that is strangling the life that God desires for us, and is creating a maize of wonderment in which we must negotiate from location to location in hopes of seeing the light, God gave each of us a measure of life; the goal is to realize the measured life in its pure sense, without interference from all of the space junk and channels leading into a lost world, is in God’s Kingdom.

All scripture points toward the best way to get you into the clear whereas you can receive God’s love, and grow. Jesus has overcome this predicament of being entangled in the world. Jesus is the way and the light to your path unto the kingdom of God; heaven is at hand for those who has untangled all of the pros and cons of the world by following the Son of God, Jesus.

The purpose of our life is to be in heaven, the Kingdom of God. Jesus has the authority to defeat all adversities in your life. Jesus shall empower you.

Remember, Jesus is the only spiritual leader whose tomb is empty. All others is still in their grave, and you can visit their grave.

Job 14
New King James Version (NKJV)

1 “Man who is born of woman
Is of few days and full of trouble.

2 He comes forth like a flower and fades away;
He flees like a shadow and does not continue.

Job 3:23
Why is life given to those with no future, those God has surrounded with difficulties?

John 6:27
But don’t be so concerned about perishable things like food. Spend your energy seeking the eternal life that the Son of Man can give you. For God the Father has given me the seal of his approval.”

John 17:2
For you have given him authority over everyone. He gives eternal life to each one you have given him.

1 Corinthians 8:6
But we know that there is only one God, the Father, who created everything, and we live for him. And there is only one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom God made everything and through whom we have been given life.

An intellectual approach is always a view from the outside. Instead of thinking to yourself start talking with Jesus Whom is God among us.

The God Equation; A Universal Form

A debate has arisen between creationist and evolutionist with the formal believing that a supreme intelligence created our existence and the evolutionist believing that our existence came into being by random change, and that matter and energy has always existed. I strongly believe that a superior intellect created all existence who is known as God.

Since I had been challenged by the hypothesis of randomness, I have powdered no form and what form would bring us to our present existence? I quickly eliminated randomness because I believed in the big bang theory which explains the beginning of our universe leading to our present, than I realized that for randomness to form our present states the age of the universe as predicted by the big bang theory was insufficient by enormous degrees; in other words, there was not enough time for randomness to have formed our world.

With myself being convinced by the above propositions, there had to be a Creator with superior powers who devised all things that existed; past, present, and future; but, what was the form or did one ever exist with this bringing me back to randomness…no universal form; no elimination of randomness. In addition, if there was a universal form, than it would have to apply to our mental states also. This research endeavor at that time seemed impossible. So, I prayed to God; after all, I had the predisposition of believing in God.

I recalled that Aristotle, the great Greek Thinker, had posed that form imposed on matter, and the thing came into existence. Another hypothesis of Aristotle was that all things are coming into existence and going out of existence; nothing existed forever. Well, this brought me to another brick wall; even if I discovered a universal form than it would be going out of existence; therefore, behaving like a non-universal.

After meditating for many moons, I realized that the answer was right under my nose; it being my bible. Jesus said that His Words shall last forever; His words was form even if matter disintegrated into pure energy than this was in the form of a “potential”. I had a flash back to Aristotle’s “form imposed on matter, and the thing came into existence”. It darned on me that since Aristotle was not aware of a potential such as a gravity field or an electrical field he called form as the imposing force upon nature while creating more nature. Now, we can say that a potentiality with pure energy created matter and then things. As Jesus stated earlier that His words would last forever which is form. So, as we know now, matter can return into pure energy again as prescribed by Einstein. We have now solved the universal problem of “everything goes out of existence.” The universal form only becomes a potentiality of God…no matter to consider.

Since there is various of things in various forms there has to be various principles that are not seen but is imposing constantly on nature. These are the natural laws in nature, and they do not vary without cause of another principle which changes its value. It doesn’t take much faith to say that these principles, laws, operating in concert has created our present states, and shall further create our future states with the intervention of our humanity as we accrue knowledge.

Man has discovered natural, physical, laws which does not change. I call these the qua variants (QV) of our existence. From this accrued knowledge which can be represented as qv(m), qv(n),…qv(x) because man take knowledge from nature, and experiments based on learned principles like building blocks. Man observes a well-behaved state (S) and interacts this state with other states [S(x)]. We are constantly exposed to QV and various states [S(x)]. We and all other things passes from existence as we are exposed to the elements.

The Lord showed me His form as I patiently waited and listened. The metaphysical expression is QV[S(x)]qv(m) + QV[S(y)]qv(n)= QV[S(z)][qv(m)+qv(n)]. This expression says it all. God created everything that has been created even our thoughts because this point in existence can be any point in existence. A qv can be a precept or concept or a physical device for measuring to determine values on a scale which is another qv. The “Qua Variance” does not change so it imposes on everything for all things, qv’s, is exposed to nature’s QV, things that does not vary.

Since humans are designed by this superior intellect which appears to have enormous power, the human brain (mind which contains our probabilities or potentials of certain events occurring) and our limitations creates our convergences to the God Equation. With experiences approaching infinite humans has converged to one God and has been inspired to develop religion. I personally has accepted Jesus, the Son of God, as my guide thru life. I see from the God equation the convergence to Jesus(QV, Spirit of Truth) + Jesus(Holy Spirit) = Jesus(God among us) with God’s Holy Spirit being the desired state for all mankind that does not have the spirit of antiChrist.

Romans 1:20
New International Version (NIV)

For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

Matthew 16:19
I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

Matthew 18:18
“Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.

Our existence is a Toy-space in which we experience and learn about our gracious God as we accrue knowledge in order to return to heaven. In this body of knowledge from beginning to end each individual has the choice to choose God or the world. I use the term “Toy-space” because of the direct relationship of nature to God’s heaven which is our eternal purpose forever. God’s Spirit shall transform us from precept to precept until all mysteries are revealed.

Jesus (QV, Spirit of Truth) + Jesus (Holy Spirit) = Jesus (God among us); from beginning to end, Alpha to Omega, and many intermediates, alpha (a) to omega (w) for the lower intermediate cases.

Romans 9:33
As it is written: “See, I lay in Zion a stone that causes people to stumble and a rock that makes them fall, and the one who believes in him will never be put to shame.”

1 Peter 2:6
For in Scripture it says: “See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame.”

NOTE** I use the equal sign (=) in the metaphysical expressions because God is perfect; for man I use a yield sign (>). All expressions that depends on God’s absoluteness also uses an equal sign.

God has no Problem with Naturally Born Homosexuals Marriage

I deeply and strongly believe that naturally born homosexuals has God’s love the same as heterosexuals.

With the in your face existence of trans-sexuals who has mixed primery and secondary reproductive organs we still can not deal with the facts, and they are ostracized, and this is obviously breaking God’s main spiritual law of love. If God wanted a carnal mandate to supercede the main spiritual law of love, than it would have been written in stone as the Ten Commandments.

The flesh profits nothing; therefore, enforcing a flesh belief is in the spirit of error. Civil Contracts representing a bond between two naturally born homosexuals is about the flesh and material things. Let the spirit bond to the Spirit and the flesh to the flesh.
Let love abound over all.

I am not pro same sex marriage as much as I am against the church denying some thing in the flesh which is anti-Love; leave these matters to civil law, and practice the supreme spiritual law of love always.

God will not place a burden on anyone that can not be rectified. Homosexuals who are of natural birth shall God not use them for scape goats as concerning the flesh. God is love, and love all the time.

John 3:6
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Colossians 2:23
Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body: not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.

1 Peter 2:11
Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul; [**this applies to all flesh, homosexuals and heterosexuals]

Galatians 4:29
But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.

Romans 8:9
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. [** the Spirit of Christ is available to homosexuals just as it is available to heterosexuals]

Romans 1:27
And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. [**The verse applies to heterosexuals who by lust seeks extra sexual experiences who are not born natural homosexuals for the naturals have not left any naturally born nature]

John 6:63
It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
[** Denying naturally born homosexuals same sex marriage is unprofitable in the sight of God for God love everyone the same]

The church should remain neutral having the discretion to marry of not. The government shall not order any church to perform any marriage or not.

My scriptural intrepretations honors God fully in love, and doesn’t open the door to satan if we remain in God’s love. For we are all homosexual in the Spirit of God even if born heterosexual in the flesh; for we are to love everyone.

God is love.

Jesus, the Son of God

If one would study Christianity, and compare with other religions, than one would easily realize that Christianity is unique in the sense that the central figure is alive and had risen from the grave. also, Jesus had a virgin birth and worked miracles for three years. Jesus is the only deity that is expected to return alive.

Belief in these unique circumstances has prevailed against the forces of time for over 2000 years. Recently, there has been an attack on Christianity thereby decreasing the number of persons to be saved, but God only need the core of faithful believers to turn the tide in His favor, and create the largest revival in the history of mankind.

In the end the encampments of all other religions shall at their own volition pick up camp and move into the Son of God camp. As a results there shall be only the polarization of Christ and AntiChrist.

Acts 13:34
as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he said on this wise, I will give you the sure mercies of David.

Acts 14:21
And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch,

Acts 15:16
After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:

God Wired Human Brains; Intangibles Is Part Of Our Life

Intangibles such as love was designed by God in our psychological makeup. These intangibles follow spiritual laws just as the physical based tangible. At the end of the day, Humans have nothing to do with whom they love, they react as the subject is observed. Most of our mind is loaded with potentialities, feelings which may never material or manifest themselves. The physical brain is made of matter and circuitry which has a potential field that determines our emotions. The electro-magnetic field actually transmits to others. This field of science is called Extra Sensory Perception (ESP). Scientist has learned a lots about how our brain transmit waves into our environment, but the problem is with all of us receivers!? Enough said about ESP.

God wired us for love. Scientist has found this to be so as they navigate their way though the intricate world of neuroscience. We feel this love as we fellowship with those we love. His grace extends to the great care and purposefulness He poured into our design, which enables us to experience this fellowship. For example, the prefrontal cortex (the front part of the brain, just above the eyebrows that most people know as the frontal lobe) has specifically been designed to connect us with people. As we make eye contact and assess facial expressions and tones in voices and body language, our frontal lobe makes sense of all this and we reach out and hug.

And then God put these cute little mirror neurons within the networks of our brain that help us mirror each other’s emotions, and experience each other’s joy. So we reach out and hug back, and warmth spreads all over our bodies from the amazing neurochemicals now flowing in harmonized synchrony through our brains and bodies as a result of this contact—a tangible way to experience His fellowship. It doesn’t take a quantum leap of faith to believe that God continuously speaks to us.

Acts 2:39
For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

Psalm 50:1
The mighty God, even the Lord, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.

Romans 7:23
But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

Romans 7:25
I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

Romans 8:5
For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

Romans 8:6
For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Romans 8:7
Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

Romans 8:27
And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

Eight Criticisms of Evolution by Skeptical Christians

Evolutionary theory is regarded so highly in our society that those who dare to question it usually have their reputation tarnished or are labeled ‘radical fundamentalist’ (or worse). It has been said that in China they criticize Darwinism but not their government and in the USA we criticize government but not Darwinism. How this came to be is for another discussion. But here we ask can Darwin’s theory (or Neo-Darwinism) be criticized?

Here are the 8 criticisms that Christians have in regards to the Darwinist position on evolution:

1. Minor changes over time have not been seen to cause a new ‘in between’ species to emerge. That is, the evidence of macro-evolution is unavailable. Thus, the process of natural selection based on random variations is not supported by scientific evidence.

2. Evolution inadequately accounts for existential features of human existence such as desire for religion, art, higher intelligence, morality, etc.

3. How can life come from non-life? Life cannot emerge from inanimate matter. There is no way that biochemical systems can generate from just chemicals and physics. Evolution does not adequately account for the origin of life.

4. There are too many gaps in the fossil record for evolution to show any transitional life forms. Fossils from transitional life forms are necessary evidence to prove evolution but these fossils are inadequate in quantity and quality.

5. Recall that evolutionary theory states that random variations gives material for natural selection to operate on. Allegedly, this gives rise to the beneficial features of life as generations reproduce. But, now we have the capability to investigate which changes in DNA could result in beneficial mutations – this endeavor was supposed to help us understand which mutations provide a competitive survival advantage in a given species. Recently, the scientific research has shown that 99% of molecular changes in DNA are actually destructive at the biochemical level. These negative changes do not provide for genetic enhancements and beneficial features in species. Thus, the random mutation component of evolutionary theory is contradicted by the evidence.

6. The Evolutionist’s implication of the Darwinian mechanism is that God is not real as we have an alternative explanation of life’s origination/development. The criticism of this implication: Even if the Darwinian mechanism exists, this does not replace an Agent.

7. The Cambrian Explosion challenges the traditional idea of gradual transition of animals because all of these new life forms appear at the roughly the same time (10 million year period = 10 minutes out of 24 hour period. This is so short that it is below a “resolution of the fossil record” by Scientist Jonathan Wells). So again, there is no clear gradual development with the Cambrian fossils as there are too many appearing too quickly.

8.In the Cambrian Explosion we see a certain skeleton and biological structure of animals (feet near legs & fins, eyes near mouth, digestive system near backside) that arose rather suddenly during this explosion period. Additionally, the complexities of the cells in these Cambrian phyla are orders of magnitude higher than simpler structures that predate them.

Accumulating Evidence for Dark Energy and Supernatural Designer God

Astronomers now know that the observable universe contains about 200 billion medium and large-sized galaxies and about a hundred times more dwarf galaxies.1 It all adds up to about 50 billion trillion stars. That’s a lot of light bathing the cosmos! Yet all these—stars, galaxies, gas clouds, planets with their heat and light, and burnt out extinct stars—make up just 0.27 percent of the “stuff” in the universe.

Darkness comprises 99.73 percent of the universe. It comes in three forms: ordinary dark matter, exotic dark matter, and dark energy. Of these forms, dark energy is predominant; it also reveals the greatest level of fine-tuning design for life’s benefit.

Dark energy is best described as the self-stretching property of the cosmic surface, along which all matter, energy, space, and time is constrained. Dark energy is the most significant factor governing the rate at which the universe expands. If the universe expands either too rapidly or too slowly at different epochs throughout cosmic history, the stars and planets essential for life either will never form or will form at the wrong times.

If the dark energy density level were changed by as little as one part in 10120, the universe would be unable to support life.2 Dark energy, in the words of Stephen Hawking and Leonard Mlodinow, delivers “the most impressive fine-tuning” evidence.3 Nowhere else in science do we see such a high level of measurable fine-tuning design. The best examples of human fine-tuning design fall short by much more than a factor of a quadrillion quadrillion quadrillion quadrillion quadrillion quadrillion times (greater than 1090 times).

This is an extraordinary example of fine-tuning design for the specific benefit of life. It comports well with the Bible, which stood alone for millennia in predicting that the universe expands continuously under constant laws of physics from an actual beginning of all matter, energy, space, and time.4 No wonder some atheistic physicists have insisted that dark energy cannot be real.5

Clearly, much is at stake theologically in the reality of dark energy. Astronomers have gone to great lengths to test both dark energy’s reality and cosmic dominance. The principle is that, given an adequate number of independent experiments and observations, if every possible method of testing produces results consistent with a particular hypothesis, then scientists (and the rest of humanity) can be assured the hypothesis is correct.

Because of this principle, I often refer to nine different lines of observational evidence that establish dark energy’s reality and dominance in my talks. These nine are:

1. radial velocities of type Ia supernovae;
2. WMAP of the cosmic microwave background radiation (CMBR);
3. ground-based measures of the CMBR;
4. Sloan Digital Sky Survey of galaxies and galaxy clusters;
5. Two-Degree Field Survey of galaxies;
6. gravitational lens measurements of distant galaxies and quasars;
7. distributions of radio galaxies;
8. galaxy velocity distributions; and
9. x-ray emissions from galaxy clusters.

In the last several years, astronomers have added seven additional lines of observational evidence, bringing the total to sixteen. These seven are:

10. Lyman-alpha forest measurements;
11. polarization measures of the cosmic microwave background radiation;
12. stellar ages;
13. cosmic inhomogeneities;
14. gamma-ray bursts;
15. evolution of galaxy clustering; and
16. galaxy cluster angular size measurements.

This compilation of evidence for dark energy provides yet one more example of how the more we learn about the universe the more evidence we accumulate for the existence of the God of the Bible. It also shows God’s exquisite design, care, and love for life, especially human beings. The reality and the dominance of dark energy testify of the reality and dominance of God in each of our individual lives.

God has written His Word in the hearts of men. From the eyes of Jesus, Son of God, we can know the invisible things of the world by the way God made things to work.

Romans 1:20
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

Genesis 1
“In the beginning God created heaven and Earth…”
“The heavens is His handiwork.”
